Background

Sailing and working on ships is my way of life.

My education (including HTS naval architecture, Royal Netherlands Navy, diving & dismantling (Mine countermeasures) and sea/ executive officer) and my work (including countless finishing, modification and repair jobs on yachts) and leisure activities, are largely determined by it.

Being energy conscious and using solar energy has been integrated in my sailing activities from the eighties, hence the solar energy pages.
